In a three-way collaboration between the six 4th-generation EX MUSEs of the national magazine NAIL EX, the gel brand by Nail Labo and the fragrance brand ARTiS di Voce, we developed magnetic color gels.
The theme was “creating by Nail Labo colors from six ARTiS di Voce fragrances.” Each MUSE took one fragrance, and mine was “CEDAR GROVE”.
Turning a fragrance into a color
When I first smelled CEDAR GROVE, I imagined wandering into a forest filled with cold air. The scent of wood, the cool air, the slightly smoky scent unique to forests. From that came “M3305 CEDAR GROVE”, a deep, dreamy ice blue-gray.
The fragrance also has a masculine feel, so I made it a color that is easy for men to wear too.
For the sample art, I combined a languid design that makes the most of the magnetic shimmer with silver parts inspired by tree branches. You can also enjoy the two-layer depth, with blue pearl glowing up from below.
A dream come true: a gel color I supervised
Releasing a gel color I had supervised was one of the dreams I set for myself when I decided I wanted to be active in NAIL EX.
Sold at Hands stores nationwide
The six magnetic color gels are sold at Hands stores in major cities across Japan and on the by Nail Labo official online store, among others.
There is also a collaboration gift set by chouchou nail 🙂 and ARTiS di Voce, “EX MUSE SAYAKA SELECT”, with a nail oil, hand cream and body lotion in the CEDAR GROVE fragrance.
